How to Set Permanent MAC on Bolt BL 201

If you need to set a permanent MAC address for your Botl BL 201, you can follow these straightforward steps:

1. Configure Your PC's Ethernet Settings:

   • Set your PC's Ethernet interface to use an IP address in the range of 192.168.1.2 or higher. Avoid using 192.168.1.1 to prevent conflicts.

2. Access the BreedEnter Utility:

   • BreedEnter Download : Here
   • Install npcap : here
   • Launch the BreedEnter utility on your PC. WIth administrator previliege
   • press the button on the opened app to start the waiting process

3. Connect the Cable:

   • Connect an Ethernet cable between your PC's Ethernet port and the Botl BL 201 device.

4. Power On BL 201:

   • Turn on the Botl BL 201 device.

5. Wait BreedEnter for Success:

   • Wait for the BreedEnter utility to display a success message, indicating that it has detected the BL 201.

6. Access the Configuration Interface:

   • Open a web browser and enter "192.168.1.1" in the address bar.

7. Navigate to MAC Menu:

   • In the configuration interface, locate and access the "MAC" menu.

8. Set Both WLAN MAC Addresses:

   if you come here from article "Install Openwrt on BL201", then the breed used is already using static mac. If you will use multiple of this router, all still ned to be changed so no mac conflict

   • Within the "MAC" menu, configure both WLAN MAC addresses as needed.
   • on that page, from top to bottom :
   • RF 1 : WLAN MAC = WLAN 1, MAC 1 = network mac, mac2 = i still dont know
   • RF 2 : WLAN MAC = WLAN 2,
     i think thats the only mac that need to be changed

9. Press OK:

   • Save your changes by clicking the "OK" button within the "MAC" menu.
